REFLECTION!!
ReplyDeleteToday we got a new 'project', you might say. I have one role in 2 scenes. One of them is called "The Sneeze" where i am the wife of the general. A minor part, really. Just around 5-7 lines or something. It is mainly about this general and the main character who keep talking about this sneeze that the main character did on the general, which made him cost his job, i think. It was extremely long, hard to keep up. But when we rehearsed it, it went pretty good. It sounded like a really funny play, but all of these plays are supposed to be funny...so yeah. The other play i'm in is called "The Drowned Man" where i am the tramp. First i thought this was a girl, but its actually a man, kind of like a homeless person. Here i have much more lines and am one of the main characters. When me and martin read through it we could see how weird it was, but pretty funny at parts. It is about this tramp who walks up to a writer and asks him if he wants to watch the tramp, himself, drown. The writer is very shocked and bewildered but at last pays the man for the, so called, "show". It's extremely weird, but i like it :D Around the second lesson me and martin performed it for the class, it went okay, but since it was a first, not fantastic. But the other play that performed, Luke, Anne-mieke and Mike was HILARIOUS!!! i loved it. They definitely found their part in the play and the whole class understood what it was all about. Good job you guys!!! xD so thats all!
P.S. you got the wrong day...its wednesday. Not tuesday :S
About the lesson we had today. The lesson was very good one first of all we didnt do the Willy and Howard and last of all We didnt do it :D

and both of them are good second story i have only like 10 lines so im very so im very happy
Today we started a new project. I am paired with Annie-Mieke and Mike and we are doing a crazy scene about a psycho trying to get money off a bank manager who is very ill.
ReplyDeleteThe script seems to be very funny and random. I think that we really need to go to the extreme in this to make it work. It will be difficult learning all the lines and stage directions though, but we’ll manage.
At the end when we performed it, I realised how fun the play is.
So, on today's lesson we started working on two completely new projects. In one i have a big role, and in the second one i just have a few lines. Speaking frankly, i do not understand WHY we need it, because if we r not presenting them this year, and next year many people will leave, and this all will be just messed up, why do we have do start something new? I'd rather first finish the stuff we are working on, and then go to the next project if we have time. I laerned my monologue ages ago, so as many other people, and we still never worked on them:/
ReplyDeleteThe repertoire scenes are quite ok, i actually got an idea how me and martin can improve ours, and since romeo and juliet is soon coming up, and we never did it it will probably be bad. I mean, instead of doing 5 ok ones, we could stop on 3 good ones, but oh well.
I think that the surgery is a bit crazy, but it should be interesting too:)
In today's lesson we have looked at our new scrip ' Good Doctor ' We had been separated into pairs. I am now working together with Silke. Our new script is called ' The Governess '.
ReplyDeleteThis scene is about an owner of something and had this young girl named Julia working there. Julia is a very quiet,gullible young lady. In this scene the owner robes the young girl from words. she mentions all the thing she did and some of them are even made up. She mentions the thing she did to deduct it from her salary. In the end the owner admits she just wanted to play a joke on her and let her learn her lesson to not be so gullible in this world.
After going through the script many times, some of the classmates have been performing them in front of the class. I really enjoyed watching Anne-Mieke's group (which included Luke and Michael) as it was very funny to watch and since it was only the first (performance) they all did a very well and made it a true acting scene.
The next scene which was performed was Sara's group (which included Martin and Gamlet) It was performed really well and since it was the first performance for them too, it was still acted out very well and everything seemed very planned and going smoothly (same goes for Anne-Mieke's group).
I truly believe that both of these performances can be going very far and could be definitely used as course work. For all the rest of the classmates, I wish great luck and success in this play that we are working on.

ReplyDeleteToday, we were giving new scenes to perform.
ReplyDeleteMine was 'The Seduction' and i was grouped with Onur, the husband and mike, Peter who was the 'seducer' and i was the wife.
The main story is Peter talks to the husband about his wife, and the husband reports back to the wife, and eventually the wife falls for Peter. But she then rejects him in a way, and he gives up seducing young women forever.
We acted our scene once as it was so long, and oh my god ive got a lot of lines to learn... :(
In today's lesson we started a whole new "script"
ReplyDelete(The Good Doctor --> based on stories by Anton Chekhov) At the beginning of the lesson we were divided into groups. In one of my groups i am with Siri, she is the girl and i am the voice our scene is called The Audition.In my other group i am with Sara and Gamlet the scene is called The Drowned Man.
After dividing us into groups we started practicing it with each other. Lately we all found that all of the scenes we have are comedies. We had lots of fun acting them. I think that we will enjoy doing them, thought they are abit, well not abit they are long we will have fun.
That is what we did in todays lessoooooonnnnn. ))))

The scene the Defnseless Creature is Hilarious!! I always play a bad guy or something else but never A stupid hilarious crazy woman who is really cool to play.
I never had so much lines to learn so im always a bit arguing about the lines but it's soooo much! But i think if i start really early to just feel the woman and how im acting her, i just have to be hyper and serious.
I'm really looking forward to see the other plays and how others are acting them because you can learn from that and it would be so funny :)

Today, we didn't work on 'Death of a Salesman', but instead we each got one or two more scenes to work on. The ones I got were 'Seduction' and 'The Surgery'.
ReplyDeleteThey're both really funny, especially 'The Surgery'. 'Seduction' is about a man (Mike) trying to seduce my wife (Sam) throughout the whole scene, and I tell my wife the compliments the man tells me about her. Then she falls for him but she rejects him and runs off or something. 'The Surgery' is about me (a dentist without a degree) and Evelina (a priest) and I am trying to pull his tooth out as far as I know... we only managed to go through the first page when we had to stop.
We then watched two of the scenes. One of them was with Sara and Martin and it was really funny because it was so random, and they don't know the script so the way they say their lines is funny. The other scene we watched was the one with Anne-Mieke, Luke, and Mike. It was really really funny, and everyone was perfect for their role. Mike was a good assistant, Anne-Mieke was hilariously crazy, and Luke was really good too.
All I have to do is read my lines so I know what the story is about for 'The Surgery', and I have to learn my monologue too.
Today In class MR M. gave us more work to do ,I would prefer if he hadn't given us 5 scripts because its hard and they wont be as good as when we only do one . Anyways , I got 2 scenes. THE SNEEZE and THE AUDITION. They are really fun and comic. The bigger role I have , is the audition however I have a lot to learn in the Sneeze. It was a fun lesson though , and I like Martins, Sara's and Gamlets scene. It was funny .
ReplyDeleteToday we were put into our NEW groups yet again for another set of scenes. I am in the sneeze and Ya thats is unfortunatly... Today we also tried to practice our scene which we nearly managed to do all in class but we didnt. well my group didnt. They seem like very funy and good scenes and i hope we can do them in frount of an audience. We also saw the scene of Martin Sara and GAmlet which was crazy and funny... Keep up the GOOOOd Work
