Today in class, me and martin finished our 1st draft of our script. It is not that long and i know we have to lengthen it later on, but we pretty much got a good overview of what we are doing in our scene. For our ending we made the old woman realising that all he really wants is the bag so as he tries to pull it away from her, she kicks him, grabs her bag, and walks off the subway, while he mumbles nasty words of the old lady to himself, limping off as well.
So today in class I came and was informed that we are starting to work on two other pieces, one was the one we need to research about and the other was just like the first one, but in pairs. I am working with Anne-Mieke, we chose picture number 86 which is of two young women, one doing make-up and other drinking, so we started writing the script, we yet don't really know how it is going to end, but we think that it is an easy and good pictur to wok with.
Today in our drama class we had to write our second script. This though didn't include groups of three but it included groups of 2. This does improve our thinking because we do not stay talking with one another but we do our work properly. It unfortunately limits our ideas. This was a problem for Luke and me as for we were in a group together and after we picked picture 25 we had no idea about what to write, until Luke thought of a really funny posh British idea of jockey racing and jockey trainers and the grand nationals. This is a very funny story about a jockey trainer who is trying to train his young jockey how to ride horses but he wants just to ride, ride and ride. This is annoying because the old man wants him to learn properly no by only training, he wants him to take breaks and relax. The young jockey then realises and calms down. You'll find out the rest later on the blog...
Today, Max and I worked on finishing off our script. We didn't have many problems with this. Afterwards we tried it out a bit. At the end we talked about what we might need as props. We thought we might need a newspaper for Alfred and a tool for Winston. We'd also need 2 tea cups.
