Finishing our groups script went pretty well. But we actually didn't 'finish' from the script we started on tuesday. But instead we started writing a new fresh one, but that still had kind of the same order of actions. By the time we finished we had written around 3 pages and a half so we then thought that might be enough to act from in 7 minutes. We also found now how our scene was going to end and it came to a good conclusion but also quite funny. It ends by the girl finally listening to what the old lady was telling her and then walked away from the sailor who then right away started to look for another young women to flirt with. The old lady then just goes back to reading her book and sipping her tea. We didnt have much time of thinking what props we were going to use and which costumes we were going to wear. But next double lesson we will talk about it among the group. And i already know pretty much what props the old lady (i) will use; a book, a tea cup, glasses, and a walking stick.
Today we had to start a script and we have to finish it. It went okay :)
we had some good things that we wanted in our script, we had to found out what is going to be an end. And what kind of end.
Luke had written a few points who were very good and we were thinking how to make the script longer, we have now like 2 or three pages both sides. We want a bit of action and also that u can get it not to complicated.
The end is that Mike shoots me and then i'm dead and then the police is coming and brings us to jail...
we were not finished yet with the script, we only have to write the end down and then we have almost everything!
Actually we didnt think about what we should wear. Costumes for who we are playing should be nice. We have an accent :D we are from the Italian maffia!!
I need a gun and we need to have black clothes and a mobile to switch the security cameras of ;)
Today in class my group of Mike, Anne Mieke and me decided to look at the basic summary of what I had written for our story. We decided to make some modifications.
To add drama we decided to turn the performance into a mafia style robbery. The two robbers would steal a painting worth €3,000,000 to give to their Don to repay him for debts and hopefully to get some cash back. However, a security guard overhears the two when they are discussing this in the gallery. He decides to stay up all night to wait for the robbers to come down. The security guard is an Ex- mafia operative, he therefore has a permanent disguise when he is a security guard, but so that the robbers don't recognise him as a security guard he wears a different disguise as a robber.
It is 4:30am when the robbers enter through the roof, they disable the security cameras and alarms through the circuit board. The security guard hides in the shadows as they enter the room. He then appears, one of the robbers holds a gun but puts it away when they see this person knowing that by the way he is dressed that he is a robber. However, the Mafia operatives instantly realise that this person was in the mafia, one decides to tell him that they spotted him the second they saw him. He also puts a gun to the security guards head and commands him to let them steal the painting otherwise he will be killed. The guard tells them that he refuses to let them get away and quickly shoots the robber with the gun to his face. The guard quickly runs away and covers behind a table. The other robber brings out his gun and slowly walks to the table.
Suddenly, another ex-mafia operative now working for the Italian Special Forces shows up and puts a gun to the back of the robbers head. He tells him to drop the gun. The robber drops the gun and puts his hands up. However, he decides to quickly pull out another gun and shoots the corner of the table. Almost simultaneously, the ex-mafia men shoot the mafia robber. One through the back of the head and the other through the stomach. The two ex-mafia men shake hands with each other to end the story.
We will need black costuming for performance and 3 fake guns.
7th January 2010 - Today Evelina, Sara and I had to finish off our scripts. We decided to start from scratch as the begining of the other one seemed a little odd. The new one is much better now and we managed to finish it easily. Each of us gave all our thoughts and we worked together quite well and we came out with quite a good script. Hopefully everyone will think its as good as we do ! :)
So basically today we came and sat writing out the script, the problem is that we r not sure how long it takes, but inwhole the idea and the script i think is great! On the lesson there wasn;t anything interesting happening, and i htink that people who r absent r really unfair to their groups because when they come hey have everuthing ready. anyways, everything is going well for now, hope it goes well all the way:)
So ont the seventh martin adn i both started writing the script. It started off kind of boring, but then we opened our ideas and started to get serious. We did our script about a kid who runs away from home. This we dont know until the end. He was found by police and he was taken to a bartender. WHO WAS HIS ADOPTIVE DAD. The kid used to be an orrphan. This is all we got up to in the first day. It is not much but we managed to do 2 scenes. WE also agreed that the policeman and the bartender should be wearing outfits and music and lights would/could work.
On the second day we decided to add on to the police chase after the kid. This was a great idea because it was reallllllly short and it made our script 4 mins only so we did that. Also we includedd a few props that we could use. Botles of wine beer, glasses and all sorts of stuff. That was the day that we ffinished the script thing and i went home added TONES to it and yeah thats it.
The next day i showed it to Martin and he didnt like the ending so we have to change part of if. WE also watched 2 groups and a bit of another group. We discussed about what we could help them improve on and adapt on. After the first group went we had a group that was rather short but it worked. I liked it and helped them improve on stuff like what they can include. I helped in other words. Also we tryeed to help onur's group touch up a little and also helped sam's group add on and, weeeell try to improve. But both groups rocked. YAY.xD so i hope we can try out our group when gamlet comes. Hopefully it will be soon. :P
Today Christina was sick , so Onur and I worked on the script alone. The script came out quite well in my opinion. Onur did most of the writing and thinking , I did help a little aswell. We based our script on one of the pictures and themed it on one of the most common issues for teenagers our age and older and that is peer pressure. In our scene a kid has a choice to make , stay with his friends and 'be cool' and smoke, or make a different choice and make new friends and not smoke . It wasn't too hard writing our script because the first lesson we spent improvising so we had the overall plot in our heads already : )
