In todays lesson, we worked on our history events groups. I was together with Siri and Max. We wrote the script more or less and will be working on actions and accents later on. We are doing ' The Execution of Queen Mary Scott's" We are looking forward to succeeding in this aspect.

ReplyDeleteToday we had one lesson so first we began with sara and onur, what we had from the last time.We began with Altaturk But we cant change the history, what we did but i didnt knew how he died xD. So we began for something else John F Kennedy or what I see now Abraham Lincon(think because it was the first hour). We actually dont have anything on the paper because we had a lot for the other one were we worked at but then the hour was almost finished. So to have at least something we will discuss it on msn. Hope that we will make a nice script, and catch up with the other people!

ReplyDeleteIn our group we started thinking about doing our scene about the death of Ataturk(?) in Turkey and spent most of the lesson writing the script. But we had changed it by making a murder of it, so that ataturk was poisoned by some evil person. When mr. maclachlan got to know this he said that we couldnt change how history was so we had to think of something else. We definitely were thinking of some murder of an important political person. Don't know why, was just thinking it would be good to act with. So at last we decided to do it on the assassination of abraham lincoln which occured on April 14th, 1865, inside Ford's theatre while he and his wife were watching the play "Our American Cousin". The assassin was John Wilkes Booth.
Today the group of Martin, Evelina and I tried to come up with an idea. We couldn't find many realistic ones that would work with 3 people. Some ideas were passed around. Many were rejected though as they seemed to be very dramatic or wouldn't work well at all. The closest idea we got to using was the sinking of the Titanic. However, we decided not to use this as we couldn't find a very good part to turn into a play. We therefore will have to continue trying to find out a decent idea. I suggested that we do a play on the greek invasion of Bulgaria in 1925. This was because we could turn it into a school playground play.
ReplyDeleteToday Me, Siri and Christina were fooling around and playing... Nah just kidding, we finished our script of the History thing today. This rules cos I don't have to type it up cos there is nowhere to type it in... :D Also before I forget I look forward to going on the English Literature trip thing... Even though this is drama, its linked.. Anyway in this lesson we wrote about the assassination of Queen of Scots, Queen Mary. I still have to post this essay and will post it when a place comes. :)
ReplyDeleteToday in Class we split up into our history groups to make scripts. originally max & christina had chosen to do the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. I had done some English History when I lived in England so I recommended something I knew about so we could input some knowledge. We chose the execution of Mary Queen of Scots. We then set up character roles ; Max; would play the executioner, Mary's servant & Elizabeth's servant. Christina; Mary Queen of Scots. Siri; Troop & Elizabeth Queen of England.
ReplyDeleteWe then started planning the script and got quiet a ways through it. It isn't an amazing script but it'll due for now until we can meet again and run through new ideas ><
For the whole lesosn we tried to collect as many ideas for the history groups as possible, and kinda didnt know what to choose, so therefore we have got nothing.

Today we started thinking about what we should do and we though about doing the death of Ataturk, but later we decided that we changed history too much for it to be fair to act it out, so we decided on doing an event in the history of America, and this was the death of Abraham Lincoln. We have allready started writing the script and I will continue at home and finish it by next week. I think this is a very good idea because I think us three can act it out very well and put a lot of good drama in it :D
