  1. REFLECTION - Sara Welander 9B

Since everyone in my group were sick today. I played the roles in 2 groups who had a person missing from their group. First i was in siris and onurs group and we performed the scene of smoking in the second lesson. I thought it went really well and i really like their story line. Its humorous, exciting and educational :)
The other group i played a role in were lukes and mikes group. Their scene was about the robbery and i didnt have as much time as i had with siri and onurs group to rehearse it but it was quite fun performing it in the second lesson because i got to really learn what their scene was about. I liked their scene as well since it was exciting as well, shocking and smartly written :)

Today we tried out our scripts in the first period. As Anne Mieke wasn't there, Mike and I had to compromise. We found our script ok, there were no major problems initially.

When it came to performing, we had to use Sara. As she has only just seen the script, our performance was very rough. However, we thought it was entertaining and Sara did a great job under such short notice.

Mr Machlachlan said however that he thought it seemed too confusing with me dying and then coming back on stage on someone else. My group decided to keep it this way but to maybe find a fake beard so people can tell the difference. I could also fall back so that it is easier to get off stage. Mr Machlachlan said that we could put in more melodrama. I thought that this was a great idea to make the play more entertaining. However, I won't actually put in bits like mwahahas into the script as I think it would be best if it came more naturally to make it more effective. There will be times though that we will say that we will add melodrama.

All in all I thought that the lesson gave my group a good idea into where we might be heading with the play.
