Reflection - Wednesday, March 24
Today we viewed our scene from Death of a Salesman as played in 1966 by Lee J. Cobb, spoke about characters' actions and compared the two filmed versions of the scene before working with the scene in small groups. Please submit your reflection here.

Reflection - Monday, March 15
Today was the first day of the fourth quarter, but we had a few last loose ends to tie up from Quarter 3. We performed six scenes in rapid succession. They were the following.
1. Sam and Siri (with help from Martin) - Picture Pair Scene (a.k.a. "Mr. Gecko")
2. Mike and Gamlet - Picture Pair Scene (a.k.a. "Brothers")
3. Sam, Mike, and Gamlet - History Scene (a.k.a. "The First Triumvirate")
4. Chris and Onur (with help from Max) (a.k.a. "The Chess Game")
5. Martin, Evelina and Luke - History Scene (a.k.a. "The Death of Rasputin")
6. Siri and Silke - Repertoire Scene (Rehearsal only)
Please remember that only each student's two most successful devised scenes (Picture Pair, Picture Group, History) will count toward his/her Quarter 3 grade.
Please post your reflection on today's work here.

Reflection - Wednesday, March 10
In our double period today, the whole class demonstrated having learned the lines of their respective repertoire scenes. Some students were entirely "off-book" where some others were almost there. On the whole, this was a successful exercise and all these scenes seem headed in the right direction.
We then began final performances of "Picture Group" scenes. Due to student absence and a surprise yearbook photo session, only two groups were able to present. Unfortunately, neither of these two performed scenes were reflective of students' best work.
It has been agreed that, for each student's Quarter 3 grade his/her lowest grade of three projects ("Picture Group", "Picture Pair", "History") will be dropped.
Please remember that on Friday we will present the remaining "Picture Group" scene, ALL "Picture Pair" scenes, and ALL "History" scenes.
Absent - Siri

Oh No! Thursday's (March 4) Reflection
I forgot to post this yesterday, but want to be sure to give you a chance for an additional reflection to further improve your grade, so here it is. Sorry!
You will remember that Thursday we met Periods 6 and 7 after a short post-lunch assembly. From there, we worked for about fifteen minutes on each of four projects and finally chose those projects that we felt needed workshopping on Friday.
Absent - Evelina

Reflection - Tuesday, March 2
Today we worked on four of our five current projects and had a very productive double period. Please write your reflections on today's work here.
(PS - Though there was at least one case of conflict between collaborators today, you only have to write about this if you want to and think it would be productive. I would suggest that moving on from conflict that has been resolved is the best idea.)
Absent today: Silke (I'll try doing it this way from now on, but please leave a comment indicating that you were absent if I miss you.)
