In our double period today, we performed "Picture Group" scenes, "History" scenes and remaining "Picture Pair" and Repertoire scenes. Please submit your reflection here.
In todays lesson, we have performed our final pieces of Picture groups, and History scenes. Many people have done a great job! i really liked evelina's and anne-mieke's picture pair scene. i thought it was very strong and the costumes really gave the cossy-ness of the 'home atmosphere'. I also enjoyed performing our history group scene, i thought it went really well to be honest. However, the picture group wasnt as good as i expected it to be. Im not gonna blame it on anybody but onur just made me laugh so much i couldn't help it. i thought i ruined the whole scene. But luckily, we got to stay after class for 10 more minutes, in which we managed to perform properly. however i thought that the practices we had were much stronger than the actual performance.. I enjoyed watching most of the groups and i believe on monday we are going to show the rest of our great scenes to the whole class. and act it out perfectly as well as getting it filmed good. best of luck to everybody!
Today we did the final performing of the picture pairs and history groups.
It was really nice to see everybody’s scene and what they made of it! Like Sara and Martin was a really nice because you don’t expect that an old woman has two guns in their pockets and shoots a younger and maybe a stronger person. I was really nice played and they did it realistic.
The history scene went actually really well because we did it really fluently but the first few lines what I did wasn’t really good because I needed to say a few more lines but I putted together so I forgot one more line :/ which is a bit stupid I think! But the mustache (the eyeliner that I get from Sam) and the Colbert of Mr. maclachlan helped me to be a guy or what I actually was a killer! The picture pairs went also really well, I liked doing because we had so much things what helped really well by our scene although once we picked each other’s line ( what no one saw so I’m happy about it) we were a bit like what do we have to say but quickly we went back to our own lines haha!
I think everyone did a great job to perform their scenes and it was nice watching it! Also they all knew their lines really well, so it was really realistic!! x Anne-mieke
During todays lesson i performed the picture group performance, and it went really well. Everyone brought in their costumes, and we all remember our lines very well. Performing it was good, and we only had to do it once :)
Everyone performed at least 2 of their scenes, and all them went really well. I really liked Siris, Christinas and Onurs performance and Martin and Sara's.
I only could perform one that day for various reasons, so i'll have to perform my History scene and Picture Pair scene on Monday :/
Today in class we performed. To be honest I felt really unprepared because we had soo many scripts to learn in such a small amount of time. Things didn't go quite smoothly however because Christina and Onur and I couldn't stop laughing. The bells worked : ) My favorite was Sara's and Martin's but Sara's History groupo was also was really good, I think the main thing people are going to be spending their weekend doing is making sure they know they're lines for everything we didn't perform today for Monday. However , I think most of them were quite good and Thanks evelina and luke for lending me clothes and martin for his coat .. and sam for her boots haha
On the double-lesson every group was to perform the final performances of the history and picture pair scene. My picture group didn't have enough time to do it the last time so we did it instead on the double lesson. So i did the final performances of pretty much all my scenes on that double-lesson. The picture group scene went really well. Everyone had with costumes and props and we were well prepared for everything. Around the end i almost forgot one of my lines but quickly thought it back again. Sam and Evelina i think missed like one line so that mixed them up in the end but not too much to do a repeat of the whole scene. Luckily, we did it all through one run and i think that it went perfectly. The picture pair scene also went really good. We did it smooth and fast with quick responses. Martin nearly forgot one of his lines, but it went REALLY good otherwise. We had all the props and necessary costumes and i think we portrayed the characters of Mildred and Billy very well, Billy acting very gangsta and Mildred being sarcastic and normal at the beginning but in the end a pretty awesome killer :P The history scene ALSO went pretty well, in my opinion. We all knew our lines perfectly too and didn't have to repeat the scene at all. Though i think by the end when Lincoln collapsed and 'died' i think it went out of the camera's view so it might of not actually caught the last part of the scene of me weeping over my now-dead husband. Other than that, the whole group did a really great job :) Hopefully, me AND the people in my groups of scenes got a good grade for all of the 3 scenes i participated in with them!
Today, everyone tried performing a few scenes, even though we had some problems with time.
Sara, Anne-mieke and I managed to perform our history scene. I think we did quite well, but I knew it wasn't perfect, and I saw from my grade anyway. I think the reason for this was because I become nervous as soon as I see a camera- it wasn't the audience that made me nervous, it was the camera. And the knowledge that it's going to be graded and we don't have many tries. I have to practice on focusing more on being part of the play instead of getting distracted and letting my mind go everywhere.
We tried performing our picture group scene (Christina, Siri, and me) but we had a problem. We got to the second scene or so and there was a burst out of laughter and we couldn't stop, and this happened every time. We all thought we were doomed, but then Mr.Maclachlan gave us a chance after class and we managed to perform it until the end, although we still had some trouble trying to hold in the laughing.
I still have to perform my picture pair scene with Christina on Monday and I think we will do a good job since both of us really like performing it, and we both know our lines.
In todays lesson, we have performed our final pieces of Picture groups, and History scenes. Alot of us did an exelent job.We had abit of problems during the periouds but everything was ok ! ) at the end.
In the double drama lesson all the groups that had to perform their final performances, history groups, picture groups and picture pairs performed them... The picture group I was in didn't do really well, but its OK because I'm not using it as course work or as one of my 3 grades. I think nobody's except for the picture group with Sam, Sara and Evelina went well. Also at the very end of this lesson we managed to do our picture pairs. Well some of us did. I managed to do mine with Luke and I think we went pretty well. All we needed to add was a bit more emotion but it was still very good. We had all our props for this scene and costumes too. The history scene went really well too. we all knew our lines and did a great job with costuming and props. I LOVeD my AXE!!! ALSO

Today we tried to run thorough many scenes.
ReplyDeleteI really liked Sara's and Martin's picture pair scene as it was very funny and Martin played the street gangsta very well.
I also liked the Death of Abraham history group scene as the acting was very good especially Sara's, she played her role very well.
I did my picture pair with Max. It went ok but I mucked up on a few lines, Max performed a lot better than me.
Today, everyone tried performing a few scenes, even though we had some problems with time.
