  1. today in the lesson we worked outside the chemistry lab because our classroom was occupied. I think it was more fun then being in the stuffy classroom but I don't think that Miss Bradley agreed :P .
Anyways , first we watched Evelina's monologue , it was really good . She worked on her projection and it was really clear and audible. Then we watched Anne-Meike's monlogue. Hers was good but since she's still in the early stages I think when she learns her lines it will be better but it was funny :D Then we wactched Sara's monologue. Hers was good and she knows it well and when it's done it'll be really good. After that we finished 'The Seduction' which was funny. It was a fun lesson though . God job everyone :D

  2. So, during this lesson we had to work outside the chemistry lab because the drama room was taken. I think that we should have gotten a classroom, but in a way it was actually good to be outside because everybody needs some changes, and so the change was made to area.
Ofcourse it was very different because we had to project a lot. The first reason to it was because we were outside, I can imagine what voices ancient greek actors had to have! Well, the second reason was because we had more space, and so we had to be louder.
I was up first to go and rehearse my monologue, it is either noone paying attention, or else I am too good, because when I did a documentary and picture monologues everyone told me what to do to make it stronger, where as here nobody said anything except for being louder in the beginning. That was the weirdest feeling, shouting at person not in anger, who is right next to you, but at first I was shouting and then it went better because I got used to it.
Then we watched Anne’s monologue and I think it is pretty good, though she will really need to try and make this dirty kind of accent prostitutes have, like you know when people smoke their voice drops down, she needs to make her voice down and louder I think, also use some costuming and props.
Then we watched sara’s monologue, and while I was holding a script I thought of maybe choosing the other monologue, because everyone’s is so good, and mine is justa few lines. The reason I chose a short one was because we were getting a lot of stuff all at one time, I should have chosen somehting harder.
Then we almost finished watching the seduction which I svery good, now I see what makes a good play a good play. All of the good doctor scenes are so good even though we are not a bit professionals at drama, and I think that that is he reason why it is good.
In general I liked this lesson

  4. For Today's single period lesson we heard Anne-Meike's monologue, Siri's Monologue and Sara's Monologue. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway they were really good. We also heard Evelina's monologue which was a good example of somebody who really needs to shout when speaking to an audience. Well after this we continued to watch The Seduction Scene Which Was REALLY good. Good Work Guys.!!.

Sorry its short. Couldn't think of anything else to write

  5. In today's lesson we had to work outside in the area outside the science chemistry lab because there were being exams in our usual drama room I think.

Today we mostly watched monologues, and I took part in some of them. The main thing people need to work on is (for girls) keeping their hair out of their face so that audience can see their face more clearly and also speaking louder. To help in the speaking louder problem, Mr. MacLachlan put Martin as far away as he could from the actors, so they could pretend to be speaking to him and automatically speak louder.

At the end of the lesson we had to finish our performance of 'The Seduction' as we hadn't finished it last lesson (it's one of the long scenes in the 'Good Doctor' scenes) and this went just fine. We stopped sometimes because of the hair problem and the speaking louder problem and laughing sometimes. We also still need to work on using the stage properly (dividing it properly).

  6. REFLECTION!!

Today for the single lesson we had to act outside behind the gym since the other room was busy with exams going on inside.
We started doing our monologues but only few of us offered to perform it for the class. It was me, evelina, and annemieke. Evelina and anne-miekes
were really good. They acted it so realistically. We all had the trouble though of having our hair infront of our faces as well as projection since it was more difficult to hear us since we were outside. Mine went pretty fine though i didn't know much of my staging so i was kind of everywhere, or just standing. But i'll work on it at home. After we had time to finish watching the seduction acted by sam, mike and onur. As before, i thought that it looked awesome. They don't need to work much more on it it seems. It is perfect as it is. But true with the projection, they need to speak more loudly. anyways, that's it!
